A Cappella Showcase, Harmony, Inc., under the direction of Judy Comeau is
proud and ecstatic to announce that our women's chorus (after having
submitted a CD with four repertoire songs) was recently informed that we are
one of the National Finalists in the CBC Radio-Canada Choral Competition.
We will be one of two finalist in the Barbershop category.

What does that mean?

Well, on April 30th, 2008, between 7:45 pm – 8:00 pm (EST), A Cappella
Showcase will be competing “live on-air” in Toronto, Ontario, where a
five-member Jury will adjudicate. It also means that Canada will now have
an opportunity to hear what barbershopping is all about!

Should A Cappella Showcase win this portion of the contest, all first place
winners of the 13 categories, will meet in Laval Québec on May 16-18, 2008
(all expenses paid) to perform before the Choral 2008 jury for the Canada
Council for the Arts Healey Willan Grand Prize and Cantabile Prize where
friends and family may attend.

So please keep your fingers crossed for A Cappella Showcase (and Judy). You
can show your support on April 30th by turning your radio on and tuning in to CBC Radio 2!
